Lidstrom set to retire.

After 20 years of playing on the blue line, Nicklas Lidstrom has decided to call it a career. They 42 year-old is expected to make his announcement this Thursday. He has played in 12 All-Star Games and has tallied 1,142 points. He got his first career hat trick last year. He finished with a career plus-minus of 450.

Even though it is not officially confirmed, it is widely believed that Lidstrom has decided to call it a career. All mainstream media outlets are reporting that he has called it career. Even Red Wings scout Hakan Andersson has confirmed it to Sportsblad that he will be hanging up the skates.
